Experience with Complex Systems
Bacalao Consulting AB is run by Martin Klarqvist, a senior software
developer and IT architect with extensive experience in developing and
maintaining complex software systems.
I work best at the intersection of architecture and development, where
technical decisions need to work both on the drawing board and in the
actual implementation.
My background is primarily in long-lived systems where development does
not happen in isolation. New requirements need to coexist with existing
functionality, integrations, and data, while the systems remain in active
use and continue to evolve.
This has given me a pragmatic approach to software development.
Sometimes the right solution is to build something new. Sometimes it is
to modernise. And sometimes the best technical decision is to keep
something that already works and improve what surrounds it instead.
For me, consulting is also about more than technology. Understanding the
business, communicating technical matters clearly, and taking
responsibility for the decisions you help make are every bit as
important.
